It's funny, I went to my son's game this fall, eighth graders. I got to looking around, I thought we gotta be at the wrong field. My mom said what do you mean? I said all these guys look like they 21 or over lol. I don't know what they give them or do these days but Jesus it works whatever it is.

My son is 14 as well, not quite that tall though. He already weighs about 240. He's growing like a weed though, never seen a kid eat like. No wonder I spend so much at the damn grocery store lol.

240! sign him up! my kid will be 15 next month

crazy as it may seem, some youth leagues start practicing in July for games that start in late aug/early sept.
Also, their practices are quite different, they don't hit near as much. Also, they don't even lift, he does that at home.

all bodies now days. Just go to Water World and spend the day. From behind, hard to tell the kid from the Mom.

That's actually a good idea as hot as it is today. Closest thing we have to that around here is both Farmington and Durango have an aquatic center, that it's though.

She play on Varsity Blues by chance? I don't think so, if I remember right, she was like 6'2" 250 but ran a 4.5. Probably drove a Mack truck too. I think that's the right movie, something tells me it's not though. I forgot what the he'll that movie was called?

Dude it isn't Varsity Blues, it's ****ing Dazed and Confused. I mean hell, they had different qbs. I can't believe I forgot that ****.

Depends on where you go. High school players in Boulder and Fort Collins tend to be on the leaner side compared to the kids in Arvada and South Denver Metro. Teams like Fairview have to rely on their athleticism in the open field to win. They've done a good job at competing against teams with far bigger kids as well as having far more numbers.

I think you could say that about pretty much anywhere really. Down in Texas, Panhandle teams were big white boys, they usually would have a black guy or two. Then you go to Dallas, Houston, or places in East Texas, very different.

True. I remember playing in high school, we were going up against Mullen when they had Dave Logan. We had 3 black kids on our team, where more than half their starters were black. Plus their o-line that year outweighed the Broncos o-line.
