Brad Cotner, Alex Kelley, and Marc Mustoe. OLINE.

The safety group, with at least one True Frosh.

Probably the most important guys on the team.....

The three offensive linemen have to grow up in a hurry. They will play if an Offensive Lineman goes down. Offensive linemen always go down and we've had as many as 3 starters out at one time in the recent past.

The Safety group of Orms, Bell, T.Smith, Mosley and T.Thompson (FR). Got to figure you see 2-3 of these guys playing most of the downs. The position is always an injury concern, especially concussions, but with the new targeting rules requiring automatic suspension, I'd expect you see a lot of guys play here.

I keep telling people we will be as good as our weakest links. Injuries in these areas could very easily result in young guys seeing the field before desired. Sort of like the last two years where we had DD Goodson playing Cornerback, or a group of True Freshman starting at DL.

We are getting deeper, but these areas are very thin for us right now and injury could turn this into a disaster. Unless of course the young guys can surprise.

Mustoe is not close to ready. He may never be. We will ride the OL roller coaster all season. Hopefully we are full strength for 5-7 games though.

The safety thing is going to work itself out. We could actually get younger there and improve.

Mustoe was at least recruited here as a tackle, yet was said to be behind Irwin in terms of first off the bench. Irwin is entering his second year here, and played guard last year. And now he is inactive due to unknown injury.... The next guy listed is a freshman walkon (Caldwell).

Point to note: I'd guess that nobody on our schedule has a depth issue anywhere on their roster like that. Not Central Arkansas or CSU.

Based upon whose analysis? Yours or Alex Gibbs? Well, since Gibby was working with the Donks this camp, it must be your keen coaching eye that's relegated him to a "never was". LOL!

Remember, the kid was injured in the spring and hardly coached up at all prior to that---Marshall's career is on the way down in a real hurry---(as almost everybody on this team was under- or non-coached). I'm not going to make a judgement on any player's history with the past regimes. Its make or break under this staff for me, WB & Co be damned.

Physically, this past spring, he was not close to being big enough to play at this level. I haven't seen him yet this fall. Here's hoping to his natural HGH kicked in over the past few months!

Maybe by November BuffEnuf will be able to step out on a limb and give his own opinion on a football player. Seems doubtful though.

Based on what analysis? You don't see the work he puts in when he's not posting here. The last coaching staff was pretty dismal, and naturally that impacted the ability of posters to give thoughtful opinions on player performance and development. I'm giving this new staff a chance to see what we can do with some real coaching...

Keeping our offensive and defensive line healthy are probably the keys to the season. Just not much depth there, at least players that I'd expect to be able to step in and hold their own against most of the Pac12

Guess I am going to be captain obvious, but Wood is going to the most critical on the O. He is going to have to make good decisions, move in the pocket and and get rid of the ball quickly. To have any chance, we are going to need him to be the 4* he was touted to be out of high school. And when I say chance, I mean to win 3-4 games.
