Man, I hope you’re right about Moretti. I have doubts he makes it.At least 10 guys not listed will be on the 2 deep (or expected to compete anyway) come August:
Injured:
Laviska Shenault
Aaron Maddox
Chris Miller, CB
Jake Moretti
Jared Poplawski
Plus an OT and NT transfer (hopefully), and 4 other Jucos on defense..... and a True Frosh in Perry at safety.

You gave up on him, that's your problem and unless your his doctor you know nothing more than anyone else on the outside does. So give it a rest already, everything that has come from this staff is the expectation he will play again. I would be shocked as anyone else if he's ready to play early due to his weight loss. Until Jake says otherwise, I'm going to expect him to be a starter for us down the road. I like pulling for every kid who comes to be a Buff weather he's a stud or a walk on doesn't matter, because they lay it on the line for this school and it's fans.Moretti e

This was posted very quickly after the game. Not sure how much of game went into assessment, if at all.Lylte listed ahead of Noyer.
It should give us a nice advantageI do like the idea of 12 on D though.
Pac 12 refs!It should give us a nice advantage

They have to get a look. Is there anybody at WR or RB that should be considered?Wondering if Luckett or Oliver are ready to play DB as true freshmen.
Best 225# knee twister in CFB, if you ask me.Callier is down to 225. Obviously, coming off an injury, but I am not sure we ever see him more than a situational player.
Am I the only one that thinks Oliver is a better WR prospect? Really like that 6'4" at WR.Wondering if Luckett or Oliver are ready to play DB as true freshmen.
Holic, you seem to be on the Moretti train. I don't see him contributing at all this year. Lost a bunch of weight. Give him a year off to get healthy. At least 10 guys not listed will be on the 2 deep (or expected to compete anyway) come August:

The good thing is he's young. He has time to get it healthy, if he can get it healthy? Certain injuries are a mother****er. I hope he can do that. It really sucks when you know you can't anymore.I am on the same boat with you guys about Jake, I just know myself our bodies can come back from really horrific injuries or bizarre surgical outcomes. I probably give guys more time for recovery than most people is all.
I have no recent updates. His weight doesn't concern me as he was the strongest guy on the team. Maybe I missed that he had a setback. I know he had a surgery this winter that sounded like a step forward.Holic, you seem to be on the Moretti train. I don't see him contributing at all this year. Lost a bunch of weight. Does Laviska return to his "Z" flanker position or will they move him to the "X" split-end spot?At least 10 guys not listed will be on the 2 deep (or expected to compete anyway) come August:

Ray was always destined for a LB spot, imo. Just needs to keep adding weight but he is a plus athlete there, instead of an average athlete at safety.Does Laviska return to his "Z" flanker position or will they move him to the "X" split-end spot?
Hambright will most likely (and hopefully) take over one of the two OT spots.
Johnson and Jordan will bring much needed depth at nose tackle and if they beat out a healthy and motivated Sami then we are in good shape!
Mustafa will be #1 at DT and at least one of the incoming frosh DT will factor in the depth chart there; I like Sparaco at DE rather than at DT.
It will be really interesting to see how the JuCo linebackers figure in; with 3 juniors coming into the mix; 1 at OLB; and 2 at ILB.
I was very surprised to see Ray Robinson in the ILB depth chart. He was recruited as a safety/"Buff" backer; they must not like his coverage abilities to stay at safety or factor in at the "Star" backer spot.
Just run him on and off the field in every down against Nebraska. Hell, run him through their huddle on timeouts. Let him lead Ralphie. Whatever he can do to get in their heads. Maybe rip the leg off of that stupid blow up doll they have in overalls and floss his butt with it in front of their bench.Callier is down to 225. Obviously, coming off an injury, but I am not sure we ever see him more than a situational player.

Nerve regeneration can and does happen. I doubt he has enough scholarship for the amount of time it will most likely take.I am on the same boat with you guys about Jake, I just know myself our bodies can come back from really horrific injuries or bizarre surgical outcomes. Moretti with a cast and crutches.
Whatever it was, it was significant enough for Adam to remove him from his top player countdown. Thinking the best case scenario at this time is that 2020 is the earliest we might see him be a factor.I think he broke a bone in his foot or something. I don’t want to guess or speculate on injuries. My hope is that it is just a training injury unrelated to his other injuries. Fingers crossed.
I think it's best to assume he's never going to play a meaningful snap at CU. If he does great, but I think it's a long shot. Wish the kid all the best and a full recovery.Whatever it was, it was significant enough for Adam to remove him from his top player countdown.
