Rumors are the USD coach is bringing his OLine and DB coaches.
I think MacIntyre brings 5 coaches.
Baer DC/LB
Jeffcoat DL
Evans DB
Lindgren OC/QB
& Barnardi OL
That leaves 4 open spots. I ran someone Hagan is the only holdover from the staff. Lets say recruiting director
I would like to see the following:
Matt Lubick WR, passing coordinator, recruiting coord and AHC
Tony Alford RB, running game coord
Brennan Carroll TE and Special Teams
Leomitti safeties or Ambrose Cornerbacks.
Alford is a long shot, but I hope we can get a few coaches to flip to CU.

Baer- DC/LB
Hagan-recruiting co-ordinator
Larrusa- CB
Clark-Safety
DL-Jeffcoat
OL-Bernardi
WR- highly doubt Lubick is in the picture, would cost too much and has alot of CSU ties, also would want more titles. ??
RB- ??
Strength and conditioning coach- Foreman
OC/QB- Lindgren
Special teams -??
TE- Klayton Adams

I still get a chuckle whenever you try to spell COORDINATOR

I really do not understand why Hagan is being retained if it does work out that way.

0% chance Tony Alford is coming here.

I am not overly excited about this line up. I think MacIntyre is going to be a great hire. With all the money we are throwing at the the AC's, I am really hoping for more than just the SJSU staff. Got to trust MacIntyre and be patient to see how they do. They could be all great, but 7 WAC coaches is a bit of a letdown.

How about 8 WAC coaches?

I really don't understand why we are paying such high salaries for the SJSU coaching staff. Are we really so far behind SJSU in football prestige that we have to pay each of their assistants 4 times what they are currently making to entice them to come here?

these huge raises for his staff better be buying some continuity from the good ones down the road.

It better mean we see a staff ready to go up against PAC-12 schools in recruiting right away. They are getting paid like a PAC-12 staff and they apparently have great relationships with CA high school coaches, so no excuses.

Mac2.0 doesn't seem like an excuses guy.

Adams will be the TEs coach.
Gotta wonder maybe if Kennedy stays as WRs coach with SJSU's guy staying.
Why do you think that Adams will be brought over?
He has only been with SJSU for two years after coaching at Sac State. LaRussa has also been with MacIntyre for only two years. I don't know either of these guys, but it sure seems like there are coaches with much better resumes out there in our price range. Say Brennan Carroll or Tim Brewster at TE coach and Demetrice Martin or Keith Hayward at CB's.

I don't think we know what the coaches are being paid yet. We know what the pool of cash is that is available.

Well, with Adams...I know people that played with him and have coached him who said he's going to CU. That's why I think he'll be brought over.

Forgive ,me for looking at this glass half empty but here goes...

CU finally decides to dish out the cash for a head coach and with this new hire comes the 'facilities".

So with this, the best cu can do is hire san jose state's coach. Really?

Now, he did a very nice rebuilding job there but as I said before we'll see.

Having hired a coach of this nature, the OC and DC are going to be crucial along with the rest of the staff. So far, looks like most of his staff from san jose st. YOU kidding me? For the type of money cu is willing to pay, they should be getting much bigger and experienced names than what I'm seeing.

Pay these guys from san jose st all this money FOR WHAT?

CU had a chance, Bohn's third chance to do this right and it's starting to look(coaching hires wise) that this is another eff job. I wouldn't be wasting this much money on a staff if it's mostly san jose st guys. CU and Bohn just can't quit tripping over their own richards.

Effing Joke

Wow. Just wow.

Everyone, calm down... SJst. is a well prepared and well coached team. Better organized and game planning then we have seen in Boulder for years. Just that alone will win some games - It is not all about "talent levels" - look at these bowl games that are going on - there are less "talented" teams beating more "talented" teams. Good coaching and game preparation goes a long ways in the win column.

While I support the new staff, If BOHN had come out from the start and said "I'm going to hire an existing WAC coach and bring over 3/4 of his staff at an average of a 250% pay increase", he probably would have been laughed out of the press conference. So I understand some of your frustration. I hoped he would bring over a BCS O or D coordinator. I also don't understand where the propossed staff has connections to Texas.

I guess I'll hold back until I see them in action. I was excited by Hawk and crushed. I was excited by Embree and hurt. This time I'm just along for the ride.

So a defensive coordinator who has been defensive coordinator at Notre Dame, U. Washington, Arizona State, Cal, and Stanford is not a BCS coordinator???

Go **** yourself you dumb ****.

'tini, you gotta understand: Far too much time far too close to the artillery!

Sorta knocks the brain cells loose...............Both of them! Really surprised there wasn't a thing said in Syko's post about recruiting DTs.

People act like CU is some kind of destination coaching spot for assistant coaches. It isn't. It's a ****** job. It is pretty rare that CU assistant coaches get bigger / better jobs. Who was the last CU assistant coach / coordinator to be hired as a head coach somewhere? No long term contracts. Coaching graveyard. This is the landscape of CU football. It should be no surprise that many of the assistant coaches are from smaller programs.

Plus, head coaches always surround themselves with people they are comfortable with. In this case that means they hire coaches they have worked with before.

Whom MacIntyre hires today is irrelevant. The real question is - will MacIntyre have the balls to fire coaches who don't deliver? Something the previous several head coaches haven't had the guts to do.
