And that's why they'll be favored - I just don't see them getting that deep into the season without some serious controversy or internal drama regarding their QB situation. Also, MSU finally has a legit offense and established QB to support their amazing defense. Full disclosure - my fiance went to MSU and I can't stand tOSU fans after my tenure in Chicago.
I know one guy who is an Ohio State fan and I agree, he's annoying as Hell. Problem is they're stacked. Meyer has built a freaking machine there. There's also a part of me that's glad the SEC is finally coming back to Earth. Their collective hubris was getting to be a little much.
I'll take any edge we can get.
most VT fans, including me, are predicting that Ohio State will come into Blacksburg with a huge chip on their shoulder and lay the biggest beat down on VT in the history of Lane Stadium. Hope I'm wrong.

No. He was already at Florida when GB was fired.
So, we never had a chance because of Hawkins. They were friends IIRC. Sharing the "secret" ladder drill made for Cody.
I'm not sure if I follow. We never had a chance at him because he was already at a top SEC program when our coaching vacancy came open. Not sure how Hawkins is related to this.
