Pretty sure, UCLA has not held a team to only 6 points in 3 or 4 years

Hard for me to point the finger at EB (my favorite all time Buff), but is this on Fawk this late in the season? Senior QB, Speedy, PRich, Clem, RMiller and the lowest scoring O against UCLA in years.

Not sure where to point the finger......hard to be too upset w the staff for this year, but next year I think they need to produce. The blow outs are killing me!
 
You mean a TD?

ACtually in the past three years they have held a team to 1 TD 4 other times. Still not great, but probably not as bad as you make it out to be
 
You are 100% correct.

But the last team to score equal or less points than our O against UCLA was WSU back in October 2008.

If you wanted it to sound worse, you could have said this was the first time UCLA has scored 45 or more points since the first game of the 2007 season when they put 45 on Stanford.
 
is this guy pretending to be a CU fan now? Utah fans wake up, you are a BCS school, stop trolling at a MWC level.
 
If it's the same stl/dog who is no longer able to post on any of the premium boards, he is a CU fan. Mostly a Barnett fan, though, and hasn't really had anything positive to say about anyone, any project or any sport from the time GB was being shown the door. Likes to repeat his same points over and over through multiple threads, too. Only person I've ever put on ignore.

Worst CU defense?

I think the defense really is the story of this season. In addition to UCLA, they have made a lot of teams look special, including the not-so-special Hawaii, Ohio St., Cal, ASU, and Washington. They have now allowed more points than any other team in CU history (461), and the second most points per game (38.4), behind only the 1980 Fairbanks team that gave up 41 ppg. There's a reasonable chance they could give up 500 on the year after playing at Utah next week. They've allowed > 30 points in 10 of their 12 games, another "record" for CU defenses. The good news is that I have a hard time imagining it being this bad again next year (at least statistically speaking). My point is that while the offense leaves a lot to be desired, there was no way we could have a winning record with this team, even if the offense had been great. The adage that defense wins championships is exactly right.

Not true in the PAC12
 
The team was not ready for the pistol offense. And once the team fell behind by a large margin, they gave up. Would give Embree atleast 2 years to get his players in. I will start judging him in year 3, the 2013 season.

Very doubtful that we weren't prepared we just don't have the personel to stop it.

Certainly true for national championships. Of the last 9 NC teams, only one gave up more than 300 pts in a season (Auburn last year). With respect for your Pac-12 comment, last year both Oregon and Stanford had some of the better defenses in college football. This year, there's still a pretty strong correlation between defensive performance and standing in the league. I think the fact that there are no elite defenses in the league this year is a good indicator about where the conference as a whole stacks up nationally.
