Priceless moments from the past

Sitting at home this afternoon and my little girl wanted to watch the Buffaloes. I pop in the 1990 CU/NU game. Two funny moments from the fuskers in that game.

1ST: Late in the 3rd quarter, Nebraska jumps to a 12-0 lead after a long TD pass from Mickey Joseph to Johnny Mitchell. The Memorial crowd is going crazy, and they show the Nebraska sideline with 3 fuskers screaming into the camera, "ORANGE BOWL, ORANGE BOWL, WE'RE GOING TO THE ORANGE BOWL!!!!"

2ND: Memorial was pumped after the PA announcer announced that #1 Virginia had lost (Nebraska was #2). After EB scored his 4th TD, the TV announcer (Mike Gotfried) said, "I think Nebraska just lost the number one ranking on that play, and probably have fallen to around the tenth spot. Colorado meanwhile, has put themselves in a position to go to the Orange Bowl, and possibly play for a national championship."

Ahhh memories, and I was at that game:thumbsup:

2 - Can you make my wife the same way?
 
My little girl loves the buffs, she talks about them all the time. Spending some quality tim ewith all the kids, so they don't feel the baby is getting all the attention.

Nice story! Didn't like the outcome of that particular game myself.

Yah talk about planting the seed young... This is the best way to recruit. To bad your daughter isnt a 6'4" five star WR.

Give it time... you never know. Maybe one day we'll have a player who is not only a girl, but she is NOT terrible. :lol:

I do have two boys I'm working on, still a little young to understand. My 1 year old has a cannon for an arm. I've been hit in the face with a remote and a toy car.

41-38 on a last second field goal to....Georgia Tech.
 
This makes me think, does anybody have a collection of games in digital format?

It would be great to get some of the 1990 season games, "The Catch" from 1994 and several others. I have VHS of the 2001 Big XII Championship and I might even have the 62-36 Nebraska beating on VHS as well; I'll be converting these to digital media soon.
