Hate the "we overachieved" stuff
I think it was a good season for a young team. Hope to see them develop more consistency, depth, and a bit of a killer instinct next season.
It's completely true.Hate the "we overachieved" stuff
Good game, CU fans!
You have and up-and-coming team and coach. I see good times in your future.
Best wishes for next year.
I have neither the time, nor the basketball intellect, to analyze the game, so...
...here are some side boobs.
Totally concur here -- expectations have been raised as a result of last years success. They made the tournament, I think that was a good goal before the season. It's hard to say that getting bounced in the first round, losing in the 2nd round of the conference tourney, or finishing in 5th place was "overachieving." They reached the status quo. Nonethless, it was a very exciting season and it's nice to have relevant basketball in Boulder, which hasn't always been the case.Yeah. I think it's more like the team "achieved" about as much as could be expected. It's hard for me not to put the "overachieved" label on the 2011-12 squad, though. They had no business winning the Pac-12 or a tourney game. That team was just veteran and wanted it more than anyone else.

I understand the view that "overachieved" is too generous a term, I based that mostly on hearing Tad had us pegged to win 15-17 games this year (I think?). Anyhow I agree, it is nice to see CU basketball relevant and apparently set to keep it up.
Not sure Tad ever pegged a win total, unless I missed something. All I know was at the start of the season he "honestly didn't know" if this was an NCAA Tournament team
In terms of regular season wins, I guess you can say they overachieved based on that. They were probably supposed to be closer to the bubble. I think your more judged by your tournament success though.I understand the view that "overachieved" is too generous a term, I based that mostly on hearing Tad had us pegged to win 15-17 games this year (I think?).
