Proving Grounds: Uncommon

MikeMac is starting to look very thin. Might be a bit stressful trying to turn around our program.

Just for health reasons? Or was it something where he told the team he was working out alongside them? Just curious, and good for him.

Not sure, but he probably figured he should set a good example with fitness and get healthy at the same time. He's lost over 40lbs so far

maybe they've raised the bar too high. Maybe I'm not in an inpirable mood. But I don't know...meh.

I thought it was really good.

Maybe Mac was a lift too matter-of-fact instead of striking a "rah rah" tone.
Maybe it was so much about practice footage that it was hard to get too excited.
Maybe it was stuff we've seen before from Ralphie, to facilities to offseason training.
Maybe we're all just in a place where we are waiting to see it on the scoreboard.

I love these kinds of videos and think that this will get a good response from recruits. For we fans, though, it has simply become "put up or shut up" time on so many levels. Fortunately, we're an easy crowd and an easy sell. Play good football and we'll respond like maniacs to anything like this that the program puts out.

I thought it was as good as all the others. Going to be hard to continue hitting that very high bar they set.

I think it was perfect for this year --> we needed a video about promise and facilities.

I welcome any of these - but this one didn't hit me the way some of the recent efforts did. The proving grounds efforts in the past were more player focused - showing their take on getting started - working out, and having them tell the team vision as they had heard it from the coach. I would have preferred that to MM sitting in a chair- but that is just me. Perhaps the player focused ones were considered too much of a distraction to create.

In any event I appreciate that CU Video makes these a regular occurrence.
