Any official details? Any word on the time for the Charleston Southern Game? Sounds like a fun combo - just wondering if this is one of those contact the ticket office for free entry in advance restrictions etc......

All we know right now is this:
Saturday Oct. 19, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., in the Coors Event Center
Should be interesting with the football game starting at noon

Timing is stupid. You're telling people to forego their tailgates. DUMB. Put it on 30 minutes after the football game ends and tell people they can keep their cars parked wherever they were for the football game. Honestly, who is the idot who came up with this?

Tad is a basketball genius. But if he came up with this idea - particularly the timing of the thing - he needs to have somebody from the AD sit down with him and explain to him how it would be better attended and would engender better all around good karma if he were to have this take place after the football game.

I love the tailgates. But not everyone cares about them very much or participates in that. It's why they events like Mac's that was held in the bubble last year. Lots of people are looking for something to do right before the game. And, frankly, it's not as if Tad is trying to piggyback on football's popularity to get more people to come to his games. He has already sold out his season.
Coach Boyle, may his name be praised, has his reasons.
We have another day to worry about this. Nov 16 Basketball game at 10am (Jackson ST) and Football game at TBD (Cal). This gets me excited for the double header but that depends on the time they set for the football game. A late start for the football game would make for a very long day. Nothing that 2 wins wouldn't cure though.

Due to AD George's late hire and arrival midnight madness was not possible this year unless we threw something together last second like last year. Rather than have an event fall flat they decided to to a basketball open house which was scheduled for the weekend of the football bye. When the floods moved some events around they delayed announcing the event while tey looked at alernate dates, none were found so they went ahead with the previously planned event. By the way the players love this stuff, love it.
