So traditionally college fb signing period began in Feb. How many days does that period last?
This cycle there is an "early signing period" which began yesterday (12/20/17). Is this early signing period open for a certain number of days? Week?

Ends tomorrow

Tom Luginbill was on Sportscenter Wednesday night-and he said the February signing period is one day, as always.

I don't believe that is true. It "always" is an extended open period - at least weeks. Every few years there is a conflicted 5 star that just can't make up his mind and doesn't sign for a while. He's good enough that schools hold a scholly for him. For everyone else, if you don't sign day 1, you risk not having a spot available for you.

Didn't Terrelle Pryor commit to Ohio State in April? He is the last one I can remember who didn't sign on national signing day.

No I think you can sign after that-if you haven't signed this week you've gotta wait til February. Right?

If I'm not mistaken once the February period opens recruits can sign right up until the start of school.

There are always some kids who as Highlander mentioned can't decide. There are also kids who want to go to a particular school but that school wants to wait to see how the rest of their class shakes out. In a few cases a school may make a kid wait until they see how the spring semester HS grades turn out or for a legal or medical situation to be resolved.

The early signing period closed after 3 days, so yes, they would have to wait after that. I was speaking of the regular Feb signing "day" actually being wide open for an extended period.

Yes. For high school players. JUCOs who have graduated can file enrollment paperwork at any time up until it closes at CU for the winter semester.
