Buffs Nation REALLY wants JuJu

This weekend is perhaps the single most important moment of the offseason for Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes. Five recruits will be making their way to Boulder for an official visit with the program. Among those five players, one stands out as the most intriguing; current USC commit and five-star QB Julian Lewis.

Lewis is a consensus top-three quarterback in the class of 2025. Since USC’s max exodus of transfers under Lincoln Riley this offseason, Lewis has been reconsidering his move to Los Angeles. He’s already gone on official visits to Auburn and Indiana, but now it’s the Buffs’ turn this weekend.

Buffs Nation knows just how massive landing Lewis would be. If he’d flip his commitment and come to Boulder, Shedeur Sanders’ replacement would be already locked down. Managing to flip Lewis would be one of the biggest commitments in Colorado Buffaloes history and Boulder is going all out to ensure that happens.

To start things off, realtor and Buffs booster Laura Levy has taken the initiative to print out huge welcome signs for businesses to hang outside during Lewis’ visit. Some of Boulder’s most iconic spots will be hanging up these welcome signs, including The Sink, the Boulder Theater and Pasta Jays. Even Ms. Peggy is rocking a welcome sign outside her home this weekend!

The Sink took things a step further, creating a JuJu Lewis signature burger for his visit. The “JuJu’s Precision Pass Burger” will be available at The Sink this weekend only. This marks the first time I’ve ever seen a recruit get a burger named after them at an iconic local restaurant on their official visit, despite Jim Harbaugh’s best efforts to be the “burger recruit guy”. Shedeur Sanders doesn’t even have a burger named after him at The Sink, so just let that sink in (pun intended).

In honor of QB Julian Lewis’s visit, we’ve crafted Juju’s Precision Pass Burger! This double patty cheeseburger with shredded lettuce, red onion, bacon, and A-1 aioli is a game-changer. There’s even going to be a “welcome party” for Lewis and the other recruits outside the Champion’s Center on Saturday morning for Lewis, hosted by some very dedicated fans.

Colorado Buffaloes fans are meeting tomorrow in front of the Champions Center @ 8AM to welcome our future Buffs to Colorado!

Boulder, let's make this happen! Sometimes you gotta pop out and show em #skobuffs #WeComing pic.twitter.com/LOfBuxCZGY

If you’re thinking “This isn’t normal for Boulder”, you’d be correct. But this isn’t a normal weekend either. This is likely the single biggest recruiting weekend of the Coach Prime era thus far and landing Lewis would be a legitimate game-changer. While it’s uncertain if Lewis will end up flipping his commitment to Colorado, the Boulder community is breaking out all their tricks to make it possible.
