The Buffs will practice in front of 5K fans on August 16th

Deion Sanders and the Colorado athletics department announced that the football team will hold an open practice in Denver on August 16, where the public will be welcome to watch.

The practice will take place at All City Stadium on the campus of the University of Denver. Starting at 6:30 pm next Friday, 5000 fans will be admitted to the stadium to watch the Buffaloes prepare for their week one home matchup against North Dakota State.

Sanders believes the open practice allows his team to experience a new environment, as well as allowing fans to better connect with the Buffaloes.

“When you practice in front of company, nobody is going to embarrass themselves,” said Sanders at Friday’s media day. “We want to change it up and give these wonderful fans an opportunity to us first hand.”

Be sure to show up to the practice early if you intend on going because tickets will be limited. All City Stadium only holds 5000 fans, meaning the event is likely to sell out.

“I’m pretty sure we are going to sell it out because that’s what we do,” said Sanders.

Ticket information has not been released yet, but we’ll be sure to update this article as soon as that info becomes available.
