The Buffs need help in the backfield.

Coach Prime is at it again, seeing some talented players leave the program while recruiting immediate starters at the same position. This time it’s the running back room, where the Colorado Buffaloes will look totally different from last season.

Gone are Anthony Hankerson, Alton McCaskill, Sy’veon Wilkerson and now Dylan Edwards. All of whom have transferred out of the program, with Hanerkson leaving for Oregon State, Edwards likely headed to Kansas State, and the other still TBD.

The first in is Dallan Hayden, a sophomore from Ohio State. Highly recruited out of Memphis, Tennessee, Hayden ran for 553 yards on 111 carries as a true freshman. He appeared in just three games in 2023 and looked good, but it’s unclear why he fell out of OSU’s rotation.

Charlie Offerdahl is next on the depth chart after Hayden. More will surely follow as Deion Sanders revamps the backfield.
