NCAA Football: Oklahoma State at Colorado

IMG Academy has been good to the Colorado Buffaloes of late. Jordan Seaton was easily the best offensive lineman on this team for the entire 2024 season. He has a friend, Cash Cleveland, that became the starting center. The Florida juggernaut just makes good football players. Colorado is trying to make inroads there and it appears to have succeeded. Alex McPherson, the one time Oklahoma State commit, is not bringing his pass-rushing to Boulder.

McPherson has 52 tackles and 8 sacks for IMG Academy, where he plays on the interior of the defensive line. The 6’6, 250 pound product has been committed to Mike Gundy and the Cowboys for a while, but with their recent downturn and the Buffs’ recent uptick, he had to come make the move.

His tape shows a polished interior rusher that knows what he’s doing You may not ever get him to be Jalen Carter, but you certainly know his floor is pretty high and he will contribute for your program. At 6’6, he has plenty of height for the middle of the line, and if he can get up to 270 in a hurry and 290 in time, WATCH OUT.

Welcome, Alex!
