Colorado’s moving up even higher!

After handling business in Lubbock against the Texas Tech Red Raiders, the Deion Sanders-led Colorado Buffaloes are continuing their ascent in the AP Poll.

Ranked 21st prior to this weekend’s results, the Buffs now clock in at #18 in the AP’s Top 25 after their 41-27 win over TTU.

Colorado hasn’t been ranked this late into the season since 2016, when they won the Pac-12 South and made it to the conference championship game. #18 also ties for the highest the Buffs have been ranked by the AP in the Deion Sanders era in Boulder, as CU was ranked #18 ahead of their game against Colorado State at Folsom Field in 2023.

Last Tuesday, the College Football Playoff committee ranked the Buffaloes as the 20th-best team in the nation before the Texas Tech result. After beating the Red Raiders, they’ll be sure to move up higher. The CFP committee will release their updated poll on Tuesday night, and we’ll be sure to update you when that happens.

If the Buffs keep winning, there’s no telling how high they could climb in the AP Poll. They now officially control their own destiny, seizing sole possession of second place in the Big 12. Colorado’s gearing up for a playoff push, and Ralphie Report will be here to provide updates every step of the way.
