The Buffs lost a tough one at Oregon State.
After a tough loss at Oregon State on January 26, the Colorado Buffaloes Women’s Basketball Team has fallen three spots from No. 3 to No. 6 in the AP Top 25 Poll.
Pac-12 has proven to be a dominant conference in Women’s Basketball thus far. Six of the twelve teams in the conference are currently ranked and three are in the top 10. Stanford is holding strong as the top team in the Pac-12 at #4, while Colorado and UCLA fell to #6 and #7, respectively. Farther down in the rankings are USC (15), Oregon State (18) and Utah (20).
Colorado has lost just three games all season, two of them being in conference. An early loss against a strong North Carolina State team was disappointing early on, but wasn’t detrimental. A loss against UCLA was devastating after the Buffs had defeated a dominant Stanford team just days prior. Colorado bounced back with a win over USC before traveling to Oregon State where they had an off shooting night.
The Buffs have been strong throughout the season, with huge wins over massive opponents including defending national champion LSU. Being a part of a vigorous conference, the remainder of Colorado’s season will be difficult to say the least. However, with their recent successes and efforts, the future is looking bright for the Buffs.
