Ouch. This one stings...

Buffaloes standout Tight End Michael Harrison has officially entered the transfer portal, which was announced Monday afternoon. Harrison was a walk-on at Colorado in 2020 under Karl Dorrell, but stuck around when Deion came to town and made a big impact. The TE convert from wide receiver was one of Shedeur Sanders’ top targets in 2023, as he finished the season with 31 receptions and 5 touchdown catches.

Harrison was the only Buffs tight end to have a consistent role in the offense and will now be taking his talents elsewhere. This move now leaves Coach Prime and his team with a massive hole at the TE position that will need to be filled through the portal.

I’m not gonna lie, this one hurts. Of all of the transfers that have left this last week, the Harrison news has come as the biggest surprise. Mikey became a fan favorite in Boulder after helping lead the Buffaloes to a miraculous comeback victory against CSU, so it’s really hard to see him leave. Harrison had a fantastic season in 2023 and he’ll certainly continue to find success wherever he chooses to go. We as Colorado fans would like to wish Michael the best of luck going forward in his promising college career.
