Colorado will have a healthy Travis Hunter when Cinci comes to town

After missing some action in the last two games, Travis Hunter is much more healthy and ready to play against Cincinnati at Folsom Field this Saturday, according to Deion Sanders.

Hunter suffered a shoulder injury against K-State, causing him to sit for the entire second half against the Wildcats. Against Arizona last Saturday, Hunter played the whole first half in Tucson, but was pulled at halftime due to what the school called “preventative measures”.

After being given a little extra time to rest up and go easy, the Buffs will have Travis Hunter at his best when the Bearcats and Buffs hit the field this weekend.

“Travis is better than last week,” said Deion Sanders in his weekly Tuesday presser. “I think he’ll have more productivity because he is feeling so much better than last week.”

In practice on Tuesday, Sanders said there was a noticeable difference between how Hunter looked in the run-up to the Arizona game and this week. Hunter is back to his usual self, which is great news for Colorado fans.

“You can just tell with his little giddy-up and the way he goes about life that there’s a little more pep in his step today,” said Sanders. “I think he did some conditioning today for sure, to make sure he’s on point with his conditioning because he never tires.”

Sanders also gave what was perhaps a sneak peek of what to expect from Travis against Cincy.

“I think he will certainly contribute a lot more than he did a week ago because he’s healthier,” said Sanders.

Colorado will kick off against the Bearcats at 8:15 pm local this Saturday. Fans can tune in on ESPN.
