Who will start for Colorado this Saturday in Fort Collins?

Colorado has released their official depth chart ahead of their matchup against Colorado State this Saturday, and they’re mixing some things up.

The most glaring change made by CU’s staff is that Nikhai Hill-Green will get the start at linebacker over previous starter Trevor Woods. Hill impressed against NDSU and Nebraska after Woods was ejected in the second quarter for targeting. There’s optimism that adding Hill-Green to the starting lineup will help Colorado’s defense play a complete game.

Colorado’s starters on the offensive line are staying the same for now, but Deion did allude to some gameday changes ahead of Saturday in his midweek presser. As of now, it’s unclear what those changes are.

As expected, Carter Stoutmire is filling in for Shilo Sanders for the starting safety role. Shilo suffered a broken forearm against Nebraska and underwent surgery on Sunday. It’s estimated that Shilo will be sidelined for two to three weeks of action.

Dallan Hayden and Chidozie Nwankwo are still listed as key players on Colorado’s depth chart, but both are fighting injuries. Hayden is confirmed to be out against Colorado State and Nwankwo is questionable. We’ll be back to provide further updates when we know more about CU’s injury report.
