Another win for CU

The Colorado Buffaloes continue their Thanksgiving feast with another high-level player. All on Shannon Sharpe and Chad Ochocinco’s show, Nightcap, the Buffs got four commitments on Thursday night. London Merritt kicked things off in a big way.

— London Merritt (@merritt_london) November 29, 2024

Merritt is a baller from IMG Academy, the single premier high school football program in the country. He was committed to Ohio State as a pass rusher after an incredible junior. He remained committed to the Buckeyes until this past week, after his second visit to Boulder during the Utah game. As a defensive end, Merritt is a tiny bit short at 6’3, but he is already at 250 pounds in high school.

LOOK AT HIS VIOLENT HANDS! Warren Sapp is going to have a field day. His tape shows a disciplined edge player who knows how to win his one on one in the run and the pass games. He always plays with leverage and his long arms mean that he stays clean when he gets off the ball. From there, his hands work to create separation and get him past the defensive line. He is polished, well-coached and a quick twitch athlete.

Welcome, London!
