Ralphie Report Fundraiser

Hey all - I just saw this posted on Rivals and thought I would post it on here as well. Great article and experiment by The Ralphie Report trying to show how easy it can/should be to donate to the athletic department. Please take a look and donate if you can! Goal is $1000 to go towards the Ralphie program. Go Buffs and let's crush that goal. It should not be difficult to donate to the athletic department or to specific projects.

In 2 days - $590 has already been donated of the $1,000 goal.

We talked about this in another thread but people can buying for as little as $5 it isn't much but the sheer number of people donating will raise the collective profile of sites like ours. It worked last fall when a number of people started writing small checks to the AD in order to push the Midnight madness event.

This selfish bastard is going to get all the priority points for "his" donation!!!!!!!!!! Btw, what are the payment options

hey, thanks guys! (also, I don't know what priority points are. Can they be transferred?)

Ugh, spent so much money this week. Whatever, in for a little. Go Buffs.

Here comes Ralphie!

So proud of the ralphie handler slamming Jim Knox.

Mission accomplished! In 2.5 days? You paying attention CU?

No... That can't be... CU's fans don't like to donate... They... They... uhhh...

Yes, it is only $1,000 which is a tiny drop in the bucket of the $170 mil that they need for the facilities; however the fact that posting this information on 3 websites (TRR, Allbuffs, and Rivals) produced 39 people that were able to part ways with $1,000 for absolutely 0 in return is awesome. Not to mention we finished the goal in less than 3 days. What could we do if the goal was $10k? How long would it take for us to get there? Imagine if there was a brick involved, imagine if there were rewards for different levels of donations to the new stadium project, imagine what you could do to draw up interest.

CU - you have a FREE advertising team of hundreds (potentially thousands) of CU fans on these websites. If there was an awesome benefit to donating, it will spread quickly and money will flow in. It may not be the $50 mil in one shot, but I'm sure as hell we could make a little dent in the number. Make it easy to donate and the money will come with a little push. Make it difficult to donate and it will literally be like pulling teeth to get money out of people. Ask for the sale.

I remember when CU did that "Fill Folsom" website. Like $15 bought 50 fans, we pretty much failed miserably at that.

That was like 2007 though and they got about half way there the first time the next year it really sucked. I'd be willing to bet if we got back to mediocre, and they really leveraged social media properly that they could get it done now.

Also, wasn't it the Spring game? I don't think CU fans much care about the spring game overall.
