Colorado v Texas Tech

Multiple key Buffs will be out when Colorado momentarily kicks off against Utah.

The first of which will be wide receiver Jimmy Horn, who got rolled up on a tackle last weekend in Lubbock against Texas Tech. Horn’s injury isn’t considered serious, but he’ll be unavailable against Utah. Thankfully, Colorado fans can probably expect to see him again soon. (No, he didn’t get hurt by slipping on a tortilla...)

The only other offensive Buff who will miss action is RB Micah Welch, who’s been out for over a month now. Welch is dealing with a nagging hamstring injury and we hope to see him back soon. Isaish Augustave and Dallan Hayden will spit snaps at RB against the Utes.

Defensively the Buffs will be missing two starters but will have their star players today. The players listed as “out” for this game include Preston Hodge, our nickel corner, and Shane Cokes one of our big defensive tackles. While both of these injuries matter, the more important of these is losing Preston Hodge because this team doesn’t have a designated backup nickel corner. Look for CU to bring Shilo down into the box, or Travis to potentially play nickel corner today.

Kick-off will be coming up here any minute, be sure to tune-in. Sko Buffs!
