The Buffs will be without Micah Welch, Dayon Hayes

The Colorado Buffaloes will be without a couple key players against the Cincinnati Bearcats this evening.

For the fourth straight game, the Buffs will be without starting defensive end Dayon Hayes. Hayes suffered an injury in or after CU’s game against the Rams in Fort Collins and hasn’t seen the field since. The specifics of Hayes’s injury are unclear, but we hope he can return soon for the Buffs.

Running back Micah Welch will also miss action against the Bearcats tonight. Welch suffered a hamstring injury in the K-State game, played the first half in Tucson last week, but sat for the second half. Welch is still nursing that hamstring injury, so he will sit versus Cincy tonight. Isaiah Augustave will start at RB for Colorado.

Travis Hunter will be returning for Colorado tonight after suffering a shoulder injury against Kansas State. Same as Welch, Hunter played the first half against Arizona but sat the second half for preventative measures. On his podcast this week, Hunter said he is at 100%, so expect an unrestricted snap count for Colorado’s superstar.

Other players of note out for Colorado include Terrell Timmons and Sam Hart.

Kickoff is fast approaching, so get excited! Sko Buffs!
