Colorado’s stars are back

Colorado had a bit of a scary week in the run-up to their game against Arizona, but all’s well that ends well. Jimmy Horn and Travis Hunter are active against the Wildcats, just as Deion Sanders said in his Tuesday presser.

Hunter, Colorado’s two-way superstar and Heisman front-runner, suffered an injury late into the second quarter against Kansas State last week. After checking out of the game and having a full week to recover, Hunter is dressed and will be active against Arizona. It’s unclear if he’ll have a reduced role against the Wildcats this afternoon, but Colorado will at least have him available.

Horn, Colorado’s deep threat from the slot, also suffered an injury early in the game against K-State and didn’t return to the game. It’s unclear what his injury was, but it seems like it wasn’t too serious because he’s available for Colorado today too. Will Sheppard also got dinged up against K-State, but he’s back this week as well.

The only key players Colorado will be without are Omarion Miller and Terrell Timmons. Miller suffered a severe injury to his left leg that required surgery to fix, so the Buffs will be without him for the remainder of the season. Timmons’ injury is also unconfirmed, but Deion Sanders said that he won’t be available this week in his presser.

Overall, Colorado is in a much better spot than we realized after the K-State game. The team is relatively healthy and ready to beat the Wildcats. Kickoff is coming up at 2:00 pm MT, so time to get excited!
