Players keep coming in and out of the revolving door in Boulder.
At this point we have to feel a bit sorry for the folks in charge of the name plates in the Buffaloes locker room in Boulder.
Two days after finally giving the country a taste of the new, Prime-led Colorado Buffaloes another round of portal defections have hit the market. Leading the way is the wideout who put up a huge showing in front of a national audience during the spring game.
Buffaloes wide receiver Montana Lemonious-Craig said he’ll be entering the transfer portal after two years with the program. The 6-foot-2,190-pound receiver was viewed as a pivotal part of the Buffs corp, and one of the last holdovers for Coach Prime going into the season. MLC had a 98-yard touchdown bomb in CU’s Black and Gold game this past Saturday.
Lemonious-Craig was gracious enough to talk to TRR about Prime coming to Boulder earlier this year and was excited for the fresh start.
“We’re very hungry. Also, no one was scared when we met with Coach. He’s just giving the team what’s real. Either you are going to work, or you are going to find a new home. I want dogs in Boulder and I’m ready to get to work.”
The Inglewood, Calif. native gathered 33 receptions for 482 yards and five touchdowns in his CU career. No word on any potential suitors with two years of eligibility remaining for MLC.
In addition to Lemonious-Craig, Colorado’s leading wide receiver last year, freshman Jordyn Tyson will also be heading out of Boulder.
Here’s a non-exhaustive list of who has announced their departures over the last two days.
