The Buffs add a talented and unproven edge rusher
Jordan Domineck was a consistent presence for the Colorado Buffaloes this past year. The proven transfer came over from Arkansas and immediately provided a boost on the EDGE position. However, Domineck is out of eligibility, as is Derrick McClendon, so we will see them go through the NFL Draft process. That means there are plenty of snaps that are up for grabs on the EDGE spot. Enter Quency Wiggins.
Wiggins is transferring from LSU, where he spent the last two years of his career. He didn’t see the field much in years 1 or 2, but Wiggins also came to football late after swapping from basketball in high school. Wiggins hails from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, so going to LSU was not a far move for him. However, a mixture of a need for development and staff turnover for the Tigers led to Wiggins taking a while to get on the field. Once he entered the transfer portal, it was a quick move to Deion Sanders and the Buffs and now Wiggins is committed to playing next year in the Big 12.
