Horn will be a Panther

A fourth Buff is off the board, and the second in the sixth round! Jimmy Horn Jr. officially got the call today, going 208th to the Carolina Panthers.

Jimmy had a solid performance at the combine, but really set himself apart from other prospects at the Shrine Bowl. Scouts began to talk, and it was clear Jimmy Horn Jr.’s injury his senior season would not be enough to keep him from being drafted.

Jimmy will have the opportunity to join an improving team in Carolina. Bryce Young and company will get a slot weapon, and the Panthers special teams unit gets a serious boost as well.

Horn, who measured in at 5’10” and 170 pounds, showed off his burst all season when healthy. Despite missing some time, he still finished the 2024 season with 441 yards, and a touchdown. His ability to stretch the field, create separation underneath, and contribute as a returner makes him a valuable late-round grab.

Buffs fans should be excited to watch Jimmy’s career at the next level, and Carolina might have just found themselves a steal.
