Colorado’s QB is tearing it up
For the first time this season, Shedeur Sanders has been named as the Big 12’s Offensive Player of the Week.
Sanders was masterful in Colorado’s 41-27 win over Texas Tech in Lubbock, passing for 291 yards, 30 completions off 43 attempts (70% comp.), and punching in four total touchdowns (3 passing, 1 rushing).
Sanders now joins Travis Hunter as the second Buffalo to receive the conference’s Offensive Player of the Week honors, and is the fourth Buff along with Hunter, K Alejandro Mata, and RB Isaiah Augustave to receive some sort of Player of the Week honors from the Big 12.
So far this season, Sanders has thrown for 2882 yards and 24 touchdowns, good for sixth and third in FBS respectively. This award has been a long time coming for Sanders, as he’s been balling out and breaking records all season for Colorado.
Sanders will be in action next Saturday against the Utah Utes at Folsom Field, looking to solidify his spot in the Heisman race. Kickoff will be at 10:15 am local.
