The electric back is leaving Boulder.
Adding to the list of transfers out of the Colorado Football program, upcoming sophomore running back Dylan Edwards announced Tuesday morning that he would be entering the transfer portal and leaving Boulder.
Edwards was a solid contributor in Coach Deion Sanders inaugural season at Colorado. He led the team in rushing yards with 321 yards and pulled in 299 receiving yards on 36 receptions.
The news came after the Buffs added Ohio State transfer running back Dallan Hayden on Monday afternoon.
Edwards was initially committed to attend Kansas State, but Sanders, his youth football coach, swayed him to join Colorado. Now the sophomore will likely look back to his high school recruiting offers as he makes his next decision.
With Edwards departure, Colorado has now lost all four of their top running backs from 2023. With Hayden coming in and the portal opening recently, the Buffs still have time to add more talent in the backfield.
