Receiving TD and Interception in One Quarter, Who Does That?
Travis Hunter has simply taken over the game in Fort Collins. In the 3rd Quarter alone, we’ve seen Hunter find the end zone on a screen pass, and on the next Colorado State procession Hunter snagged an interception on an underthrown pass over the middle. Colorado State has had no answers for Hunter as he has played a perfect game offensively and defensively thus far.
Just two minutes into the 4th quarter now Travis pulled in another touchdown on a 21 yard fade route, and he looks unstoppable. This catch puts Travis at 12 receptions, 90 receiving yards, and two touchdowns on the night with 13 minutes still left in the game. This may be the end of Travis’ night, as he walked off the field holding his shoulder on a touchdown saving tackle in the 4th. Hunter seems to be okay, but this will be the end of his night.
Travis was the X-Factor in this game, and it’s becoming apparent that he is one of the best offensive and defensive players in all of college football. I expect that he will be talked about heavily in the media this week as Travis is currently putting up statistics we’ve never seen from a two-way player.
