Even more accolades are rolling in for Colorado’s Heisman winner

One month after the conclusion of football and awards season, Colorado’s Travis Hunter is still bringing in the accolades.

Hunter’s newest title, as of January 29th, is being named to the First-Team Academic All-American list and the Academic All-American of the Year, an honor given to the college football player who excelled most in the classroom.

Hunter becomes the first ever Buffalo to be named as a unanimous All-American and First-Team Academic All-American and only the third Heisman winner to earn the honor of Academic All-American of the Year, with Florida’s Danny Wuerffel and Tim Tebow being the other two.

Colorado Athletic Director congratulated Hunter, saying he’s set a standard in the classroom for the Buffaloes.

Congratulations @TravisHunterJr You have set a high standard for future Buffs! https://t.co/rBSiVwIx3G

Having one of the most historical seasons in college football is hard enough, but Hunter has proved he can do all that and still succeed in the classroom, which might honestly be even more impressive.

Congrats, Travis!
