Some lamb poster has a friend who is a B1G booster apparently. Apparently this guy is privy to high level conversations and the rumblings for up top are that CSU is on the short list for B1G expansion.
-They all prefer the B1G over the Big XII-2-2+2.
-They all think that if schools like KSU, ISU, Vandy, Duke, Rutgers, Purdue, etc are P5 then they should be.
-Argue about stadium size concludes in statement that bigger the stadium the fewer eyeballs in front of TV sets in the market. So their smaller stadium should help.

This makes sense. Those fans in the seats of a stadium don't help bring in television advertising revenue. It would actually be better to not have a stadium with seating at all.

Consider for a moment that that same non AAU member school your talking about was invited to upgrade into a more prestigious conference....
This is about money folks. AAU's importance died a little when the B1G admitted them. And cemented their position in the P5.

I though the Nubs had the AAU accreditation and then lost if AFTER joining. Am I wrong?
The Texas 10 is currently on the verge of falling into the pit of mediocrity and its running out of options to keep the P5 from becoming a P4 that leaves them out of the playoffs and or the next big TV deal. In fact, if TV says you must have a championship game to get amount X you bet their asses they will find two more members.
Inviting CSU doesn't improve their position much. But it doesn't really hurt either.
TCU was a mild good upgrade and the obvious first candidate since losing CU, NU, MU, and Ta&m.
Is WVU gonna stay? Are they really better than having CSU in conference? Or Akron? Or Memphis? My point being there are not a lot of options left that are a good regional fit.
I'd that guess that AFA would be good but I don't think they'd move from the MWC. BYU could be a good choice. They're already used to dealing with Baylor. Having Baptists fight Mormons should be fun. Louisiana Tech to the East or Tulane I suppose.

We are in in-season mode, folks. That means that reporting on what they're discussing on a CSU board is especially lame.

I don't really know. Wether they had it or not they were clearly an AAU bottom feeder more interested in their holy football program more than anything else. The B1G aint that dumb not to have known that. If they had principals they'd kick NU out. But you and I both know thats not very likely.
Right or wrong isn't the point. I think they're whistling through the graveyard, personally. I don't blame them for doing so, though. The writing is on the wall, if you're not P5, you soon won't be D-1.
