After feeling kind of depressed and burnt out yesterday with all the info coming in that the future of CU football was breaking in a way I think would be destructive... Thanksgiving is ending with some suggestions of better news being on the horizon.

I won't post more and can't do PMs on this right now.

Please keep sending your thoughts to the powers that be. It matters.
 
We need some positives because this thing seemed to be heading south quickly. It is just hard for me to believe that there are so many blind people leading the decision process at CU. so hard to believe.
 
I might need to wander over from our tailgate on the other side of the port-a-potties to get some info.
 
I was thinking about this while laying in bed last night. Not sure if it has been specifically discussed elsewhere.

If a survey was done with AD's of BCS teams around the U.S., what % of them would say Embree & Co should be fired given: 2 year record, statistical performance in every category, rapidly declining attendance, declining willingness of fan base, alumni and donors to contribute to facilities upgrades...?

I feel, and I could be wrong that we'd have to be in the 90% range.
 
Never thought I'd be glad that a Buffs season is over, but after today no more embarrassments for at least another year. Here's hoping something positive comes out of this off-season...

Probably 100% if you added that the coach was a high-risk hire due to lack of qualifications who was brought in on the cheap at a time of budget concerns that are now not such a concern.

Agree. 90% would say he should be given another year.
 
We just need a definitive resolution to the situation one way or another. The daily emotional roller coaster is just getting to be too much.

Maybe. But working some channels in a last ditch effort. All help that can be provided with emails to regents and administrators are a major plus. Do what you can and make your voices heard.
 
All the admin has to do is point out the size of the crowd. They'll spin this by saying a majority of the fans are still behind this team, and Embree deserves another year.

Not my opinion on the matter, but i can see their point. The fans don't give a ****.

they tried to fill the student section with free tix and maybe gave away 500 seats...not a huge success. I'm not ashamed that i am sitting here in the stadium by the way...

You shouldn't be ashamed. Everyone should make his own choice. I'm trying to wrap my head around the fact that I'm scrapping my tickets and watching a Star Wars movie with my son instead of going to the Thanksgiving CU football game.
