I am quite sure I am not the only one aware of this but by my count we only have TWO guys on the roster going into spring. Which isn't exactly making me do cartwheels. I am not sure but I think Gerhke is a walk on which means Sefo is the only one on scholy. Which leads me to believe that Apsay will be #2 going into CSU unless Gerhke turns into some Joel Klatt clone over the spring, but Apsay will still be working with the first stingers taking snaps.

They'll have to take a current player on scholy and make him QB before spring cause coming from a former college playter you can't run any college practice or go into the season with only 2 QBs on the roster that're getting paid. PERIOD. you just can't. And last I heard that Awini kid punked out.

I'm still pissed about not getting Cyler Miles.

Well even if he is you still can't run a spring with only 2 QBs on scholy or even on the roster. who's gonna run the scout team and all the other stuff. I'm sure they'll try to let some wannabe badass out of HS from the student body play QB and do the dirty work for the spring like most schools do.
 
Step off the ledge, buddy. Mac and staff couldn't have predicted 4 QB's leaving the team. Everything is fine. There's a true Freshman coming in, and I imagine we'll find another JUCO ala Gehrke. Everything will be fine.

The coaches saw the QBs leaving. It is a good thing.
 
It's too late to add a scholarship QB for the spring.

I'm not happy about it either, but I don't know what can be done. There isn't even a walk-on available.

I guess Lindgren is going to have to take his turn on some of the throws in drills to save arms.
 
Not that we can or will do much about it, but an injury to Sefo next year could be pretty damaging. I normally don't advocate for taking 2 freshman QBs in 1 class, but it might be a good idea to do so this next cycle.

Maybe they'll finally give Moten his wish to play QB. He's not doing much else these days at corner. They'll need atleast one more for spring I'm sure. I really like Sefo a lot though. and yes an injury to him, knock knock, would truly set us back. no matter how many JUCOs or 2 star freshmen we bring in.

I'm not going to bother to go back and find and link the threads but I seem to recall multiple posters in multiple thread complaining about the bunch of schollies we had wrapped up in QBs who were never going to play for us.

I seem to remember specifically posters saying that Hirsch, Dorman, and others were just taking up space and Schrock was using up reps better spent on those guys who would play for us.

Now it may have been a surprise for Wood to leave and I would still like to have Schrock available without using up a scholly but it is amazing how often people get what they think they want and don't like it.

M2 will get us through this, doom is not upon us, they will figure it out.
 
TC McCarthy and the OC were QBS in College, they can help out in drills. You also have Yates, Archuletta and Moten on the roster.
 
Well damn. Who still has eligibility left? I bet I can be at least as good as Scott Bakula.
