Thanks to my main source for
volleyball commitments (***
https://www.richkern.com/vb/recruits/indexsub.asp?Div=DI&VBYear=2025), and confirmed by the below Instagram post, looks like the
2025 verbal that Coach Mahoney tweeted about (see my last post)
is 5'7"-5'8" libero/ defensive specialist Nicole (Nikki) Ott, who currently attends and competes with Skutt Catholic High School in Omaha, Nebraska, and also plays club ball with VCNebraska .
(*** As always, I like to note that richkern is mainly a premium website, and the above (free) link only lists commitments for the 1st 3 days after he posts about them, so the link will no longer show Ms. Ott's commitment after a few days.)
Welcome and congrats to her!
A few links I found regarding her and volleyball:

Watch Nikki Ott's videos and highlights on Hudl. More info: Skutt Catholic High School - Skutt Catholic Varsity Volleyball / DS, L / Class of 2025 / Omaha, NE

Her stats per Maxpreps (So far, looks like her team hasn't posted stats yet for this season, so all the stats are for last (2022, her sophomore) season.) -

The team has now announced Ms. Ott's commitment.
(She is the last 2025 commitment I know about now
formally announced as a Buff. With all the NCAA changes I have NO idea the current rules, but traditionally as a defensive specialist/ libero, it is / was common that they don't get offered scholarships from the beginning, unlike other positions, so I believe NCAA rules don't / didn't allow those not receiving scholarships (at least as froshies) be announced as scholarship student-athletes.)
OFFICIAL welcome and congrats to her!

Colorado Volleyball Adds One New Buff to 2025 Roster
By:
Malala Pyle, Assistant Director of Athletic Communication
BOULDER – The Colorado volleyball team welcomes the addition of another freshman Nicole "Nikki" Ott (Valley, Neb./Skutt Catholic HS) to the 2025-26 roster, head coach
Jesse Mahoney announced Wednesday, April 9.
Ott joins Audrey Asleson (La Grange, Ill./Benet Academy), Inés Losada Gordaliza (Coruña, Spain/IES Eusebio da Guarda), and Olivia Grenadier (Bloomfield, Mich./Detroit Country Day) to round out an exciting 2025 class.
"I'm excited to add Ott to our talented libero/DS core of athletes," Mahoney said. "As a player, she has a very natural platform touch and excellent range as a defender. She is a great competitor who comes from a championship tradition at the prep level. Ott has high expectations for herself, and I look forward to her game continuing to progress at the collegiate level."
A 5-7 libero/defensive specialist from Valley, Neb., Nikki Ott attended Skutt Catholic High School and helped her team to win three Nebraska state championships. Named to the RCC All-Conference Team and the AVACA All-Region Team in 2024, Ott finished her high school career with 527 digs and 148 aces. In 2024, she was also selected to the Lincoln Journal Star Class B All-State Second Team, Omaha World Herald All-State Second Team and Omaha World Herald All-Omaha Area Second Team. Ott played club for Elite Nebraska from 2021-22 and VCN from 2022-25. She and her team were the runners-up at the 2024 Mother McAuley Tournament and became the 2024 Bellevue West Tournament Champions.
Off the court, Ott enjoys wake surfing, traveling and hanging out with friends. During her time at CU she intends to major in marketing. Ott stated that she chose CU because of the welcome she received from both the coaches and players at Colorado – after meeting her best friends and future teammates, there is no place she'd rather be.
