It disturbs me how much our football team views CSU as a rival

Eh. He was asked what was his favorite game, so you figure it had to be a win. Then its basically between Cal and CSU. The Cal game was pretty anti-climatic, so I can see him going with that answer. Hopefully if he is asked that question again after a year of beating USC or UCLA or someone, he will have a different answer.

Interesting response that is counter to what many have said/believed:

What are some of the biggest differences between this group of coaches and the group under coach Embree?

Just the coaching styles honestly, the old coaches would tell you something and expect you to do it. The new ones shave a more in your face attitude and yell until you get it done. Both of them work, just very different.

I would actually agree with this. The former was more NFL mentality. Trusting the players to already have a knowledge of how to play the game at this level and giving them a direction with the understanding that they will execute. The current staff's "in your face" attitude seems much more of a hands-on, teaching philosophy, with lots more supervision and follow-up. I'm sure successful examples of both styles can be found.

Alex Kelley is a very good athlete. Like, shockingly good for an interior OL. I expect him to develop.

In fact, there's a scenario where he could be a starter this year if we end up having to start Irwin at LT.

Irwin-Kelley-Crabb-Munyer-Nembot would be acceptable and hopefully show the expected improvement which makes me somewhat optimistic.

HOWEVER Mustoe/Freshman-Freshman-Cotner/Freshman-Freshman-Mustoe/Freshman getting the second team reps makes me hope Dave Forman is the real deal.

Should it disturb me that Allbuffs increasingly compeats with Reddit in the CU buffs message board space?

Drive 45 min to get out of Colorado?!? He must prefer burrito's served 'Cheyenne style' filled with mashed potatoes and gravy.

Maybe Alex hasn't been to Effrain's. Best Burrito in Boulder County. There's a hole in the wall up in Leadville that's outstanding, but you can't get there in 45 minutes.
