When Mark Johnson exclaims this what is he referring to. I thought it was the eyes of the defender but he says it on open jumpers too.

I think he means it like "bullseye!".

fwiw, I like him a lot better for basketball than football.

On a related note... Something needs to be done about that sound system in the arena and the too-loud, tinny-sounding rebroadcast of highlight radio calls they do at the Keg midway through. Gave me a headache on Friday.
 
So, Levi take a shot from beyond the arc and Mark Johnson says "Knutson from three! Right between the eyes!!!!!!" and you don't know what he's talking about? You think Knutson hit the defender in the forhead with the ball? :wow:

:lol: Its just an expression. Announcers try to come up with signature calls. Especially home run calls in baseball. Same thing.
 
I find it annoying when he uses it on every 3 pointer. Usually it is something like 'Right between the eyes from downtown'
 
Actually he sucks balls. Football, basketball, it doesn't matter. He's what's known in the business as a puker.
 
Can't listen to johnson, he's louder than a jet engine and everything is the greatest play ever. He never sounds genuine, all schtick.
