Here's a spot we should be talking about after Saturday-Ronnie showed flashes of brilliance against the goats, and he didn't get us in trouble in Lincoln. He did make a couple questionable decisions (caught a couple punts inside the 10 IIRC) Saturday.....That makes me a bit nervous heading into conference play.

He can be coached out of those poor decisions. What you can't coach is the sheer physical ability to break some long punt returns, which he has. He is a work in progress back there, but there is some good potential upside.

How ****ing hard is it to say "if you catch it behind the 10 you won't return another punt"?
Sort of hard.

You coach the guy to line up at the nominal distance but no further back than the 7-8 yard line.
If you are at Max depth, i.e. the 7-8 and it's over your head, you're taught to let it go.
The tricky part is if you are at the 12 and it's slightly behind you.

Blackmon has been both sure handed and aggressive. Love it!!!

He needs to learn but his errors have been those of cockiness. Saluti!
