Great read, as expected.

I love how you approached the King situation. My take on it is he's just a fun player to talk about because of his big personality and as you said, one of those guys who has a bit of naive confidence (which this team needs).

Where I disagree is with Fortune coming off the bench. Levi was such a pure 6th man, that his role made complete sense and he embraced it. JF started a bunch at Providence and didn't make the move to Boulder to be the "spark plug", even if that equates to similar minutes. He's going to have a blast playing in the Pac-12, and I want him to have a starter, go-to shooter mentality.

Lastly, Dom worries me. I see a similar situation in Tucson with PJC. Both heralded recruits, both looking a little too green during their freshman campaigns, both with a lot of expectations for this season. I'd love to see Dom get his offense through defense and pushing the tempo, while looking to orchestrate and pass-first in half-court sets. And maybe let's get some nifty play calls in this year!

Tell us more about those $54 flights and $40 hotel rooms in Vegas...
https://www.allegiantair.com/aares#&m=f-kgHucLvvmpKYKBWJHXYBiDYwYkJ4CEMdQzzNrnhYg
Cheapest Vegas deals are through Allegiant, as far as I know. 3 nights with the flight for under $350:

Colorado Springs, CO (COS)
— to —
Las Vegas, NV (LAS)

Depart: Thu Mar 10, 2016
Return: Sun Mar 13, 2016
1 Traveler Roundtrip
1 Room
3 Nights

Trip Price
Flight + Hotel $267.87
Taxes, carrier charges & gov't fees $59.24
Total $327.11

Of course, the plane is a glorified Greyhound bus with wings and you're staying at the Excalibur <shudder>

Oh, sorry. I was (and he was) referring to the Vegas Classic in December. I should have been clearer.
Ah- I am about to sit down and read the piece now. But I'll bet the costs are about the same on Allegiant in December as in March.

Thanks for the great write up. I digested it while on a flight. Will be interesting to see how the new players fit in as well as the changes Coach B makes after last year's lost year.

Let's get real: a possession that doesn't feature a paint touch from Josh Scott is a wasted possession. Get Josh the damn ball! Extending off of that, the Buffs need to use the eventual double-teams that will be thrown at him to open up the offense. Use some motion to give Josh some threats to pass to. Give him both strong side and weak side help. Pair him up with some shooters to help space the floor. You know, basketball things.

Amen. This will be something big to watch for early on. Boyle and staff can't afford to ignore it anymore.

Great stuff as always Rumblin!!!!
