Minor stuff, but it's also part of an undeniable trend with him.
Gotta love the off season.
Yeah, go get tanked and cause a problem with bouncers at a bar, then get in the face of a police officer and see what happens to you. While not good that he has had ANOTHER run in with the police, I fail to see exactly what he did wrong here.
Was drunk in public, which OK that is a no no.
Told an officer no, which isn't a crime
Stood up in an aggressive manor, which isn't wise but also isn't a crime
If Frazier was suspended for a half for a DUI, I think Samson will get suspended for the spring game.
Yeah but Samson also only "stood up aggressively." It's just a ticket, nothing else.Frazier had been well behaved before though.

I guarantee you the police can and will find something to charge him with. Drunk & Disorderly seems like it could easily fit the bill here.I didnt say it was smart, just that it isnt illegal

Tupou beat the **** out of three kids and tore down a fence at a frat. The kid, while a complete douchebag, had to have surgery on his face.Tupou's charges were completely dismissed... These players don't have to be convicted of anything to have serious repercussions dropped on them.
Come on, man. You can tell from the article that it was more than a simple, "no". And not cooperating with the police, when you are clearly intoxicated, and doing so in a supposed aggressive manner, is going to land you a night in jail every time.Public intoxication is applicable. Telling an officer "no" is not a crime. Standing up is not a crime.
The point is, the student court has ending authority over his fate on the football team, and they seem to give zero ****s.Tupou beat the **** out of three kids and tore down a fence at a frat. The kid, while a complete douchebag, had to have surgery on his face.
Samson was drunk in public. While dumb, he didn't do anything crazy like beating the **** out of someone, tackling a cop, or falling asleep as the wheel at a stop sign.

I think we put a ton of fault on the student court for Tupou's situation when it was pretty clear he did a lot wrong. They probably did the right thing considering what he did.Come on, man. That's fine if you think that but when there is an altercation at a frat house between current students, the student court is going to get involved. They have always been involved on off campus MIP's, DUI's, fights. etc.The student court should not have any authority over an off campus, out of school issue. That should be a law enforcement deal and there were no charges filed. That should have been the end of it.

Mmmmm... Yeah.... I feel you from a fan's stand point, but not from a logical, unbiased one.The student court should not have any authority over an off campus, out of school issue. That should be a law enforcement deal and there were no charges filed. That should have been the end of it.
Why should a person be punished academically for something that had no relation to academics?Mmmmm... Yeah.... I feel you from a fan's stand point, but not from a logical, unbiased one.
