96-91 San Francisco over Gonzaga in overtime!!!

All of a sudden our loss at their place doesn't look completely awful.

San Fran just took out Gonzaga to get to 10-10 and sole possession of 2nd place in the conference behind #21 Saint Mary's.

Appreciate the help.

Would appreciate it more if we could help ourselves a little bit...

No doubt. We missed a great opportunity to get a road win (or two) this week. 11 conference games left and we need 6 of them to enter the Big 12 tourney with any chance of going dancing.

Buffs could be 16-4 so easily right now that it's driving me crazy.

OK, let's move on and talk Colorado's candidacy.

NCAA Committee Member #1:
Do we have any tournament games schedules at Coors Events Center?

I am talking about the Foam Dome

Oh, right, The Foam Dome. Great name. Do we have any games scheduled at The Foam Dome?

OK, I think that sums it up pretty well, they're out... moving on...

helps. right now CU is 3-2 against RPI top 50. though, Harvard, UGA, and CSU (i know)...are all in the 40's so they are fluid and may not be after today's scores are updated. KSU is circling the drain. record against rpi top 50 is a key stat for NCAA selection. be nice if OU can crawl into the top 100 by year's end. SF is currently in the top 100 so not as bad a loss really as if they were 234 or something. but, hard to know how the conference SOS will affect them in the Big West.

What is the best site for RPI standings. collegerpi is one I've looked at a few times.

realtimerpi is a good one. i used to use kenpom.com and warrennolan.com....kenpom is doing his own thing these days seems but i like that warren nolan gives you "the Nitty Gritty Report" (link below)....which has the rpi top 50, 150 records etc. he lifted that from Jerry Palm whose collegerpi.com site was the trendsetter in all this in the late 90's and the reason a cretin like Joe Lunardi has a job reading the internet and being a faceman on ESPN. Palm used to even answer all his email personally. he'd produce stats that were insane....being a mathematician from Purdue. Palm is a pay site since about 04 so i'm using the freebies.

http://warrennolan.com/basketball/2011/nitty

one thing i like about Seth Davis is when he cites RPI related material on air, he generally gives the source. morons like Digger or Lunardi act like they divined the stats themselves....or, in Digger's case, found out Notre Dame's record against top 150 RPI teams at the bottom of a highball glass of Jameson's.

edit: Nolan also has, as of today, CU in his "Last 4 in" projection....

That's hard to believe. I don't see how we make the tourney.

bracket projection is dated 1/16, i might have should have included that. but, beat KU and maybe 2 of ATM, Texas, and KSU at the CEC....avenge the NU road loss...win at Tech, split with ISU, we're in the discussion. we're still +1 on the road as far as holding serve (home/road). lose to KU and we're back to even.

CSU's RPI is currently 52 and it's likely to climb by the end of the season with 2 games left against SDSU and 1 more against BYU.

http://www.rpiratings.com/ is good too.

CU's RPI is currently 87, SOS 163.

of the 43 "power conference" teams between rpi 1-86, only 2 have an SOS in triple digits (100 or more). Nwestern (108), Cincy (141). our scheduling kills us. if you are going to be on the cusp of the bubble, this year or any year....you can't fight structural disadvantages.

San Fran is now 5-1 in the WCC, and has climbed above .500 at 11-10.

Indiana had a nice upset of a ranked Illinois squad tonight

New Mexico just beat BYU. CSU is doing well. If only CU wasn't losing all the time, our RPI might be getting respectable

it's true. Harvard is unbeaten in 8 games since getting bombed by UCONN.....lotta things could have been breaking our way. but, lotta hoops to play.
