Freshman Nikki Lindow and sophomore Kerra Schroeder led the CU volleyball team to a sweep over Furman University (25-22, 25-22, 25-19) on Friday night to begin the 2010 season.

shaky start to the first game but they got over their nerves and played pretty well for a team that has only 2 returning players, a bunch of transfers and a zillion freshmen. Tomorrow against Duke will be a challenge as Duke is receiving votes in the prelim poll. Nice to see replays on the new board. I wonder what they will do with the banners that they had to take down on the 2 long sides of the CECC to make room for the ribbon baords.
