Season Tickets....

I renewed my season tickets, I had mixed feeling about doing so. I never saw much discussion on the board about people renewing. I was wondering how many of you decided not to renew.

I renewed, but I was not happy that I could not remove the CSU game and parking pass from the season ticket allotment....so I ensured to put some candid remarks about my feelings towards this forced purchase and increased ticket cost for a much much worse venue, atmosphere, and overall experience.

It was tough for me. $800 plus is a lot of money. To have to add money just to get off the 5th level at Mile Hi for the rammie game also sucked. The reason I did it again was because I kind of like Mac. But I could have passed for a year or two and still gotten the same seats if the Buffs, somehow, turn it around. I waited until the last minute, pretty much. But, hey, at least I can say I'm a season ticket holder!

6 years ago I declined my parents offer to take over the 3 seats they were giving up after ~25 years.Right around the New Year I decided to buy 1 seat for this season. While my expectations are pretty low, I am cautiously optimistic I won't miss that money from my entertainment budget too much(if that makes any sense).

It ends up taking a lot of time and I will say it has not been as enjoyable as it once was for me. It will not take much to make me not renew in the future. The money is one thing but the time is probably a more important consideration for me. Going to a game is an all day event.

To me, being there is the MOST enjoyable thing. Like the tail gates. Hanging out with assholes is fun.

But those cardboard Skiddy cutouts were awesome!

I may have to ask the C-Unit to make fat heads of Uncle Bruce and Smithers DiStephano to occupy those seats on weeks I don't show.

Not renewing. After the past few years, er decade of sup par results, I will be back when they can be above .500 after October 1. Then you throw the CSU game on top of it and I am done. Broncos are way more appealing for the next few years anyway. Just sick and tired of paying that much to waste the whole day to see us get blown out by 50 time and time again.

And this is why the Buffs wil never be top dog in Colorado. Fair weather fans like this.

Buffs will never be top dog, but I think it's for different reasons. Four pro sports team within an hour and the Broncos are king. For the people with more disposable income, they can financially support both teams. But if you can afford one or the other, you're likely going with the Broncos. FYI, not a Broncos fan.

That is true, along with the sports radio shows focusing on Elvis Dumerville's contract well above all the local NCAA tournament action by the local teams. Makes me angry frankly. I spend a great deal of time in Utah, and it's BYU vs. UofU 24/7 on the talk shows and it's all very cool. Even considering buying Ute season tickets this year to attend a couple games and give away the rest to customers.

I renewed my two to show support for firing Embree first and foremost.

The other two guys in my group decided not to renew. They are all in on MBB instead.

In fairness, you only got the Jazz in Utah. For a region that hasn't typically supported basketball, I think you'll need a little more than two consecutive trips to the Tourney where they didn't get past the round of 32 before they get more attention.

I renewed and made a substantial increase to better seats. I promised the administration that I would when I was hassling them all to fire Embree and they kept their end of the bargain, so I kept mine. If you contacted them with a similar message, I advise that you do the same.

It was a business decision like everything else, the administration evaluated the situation and saw they'd get more tickets if they fired him versus keeping him.

I renewed but almost didn't due to a argument I had with them over priority points and parking passes. We had a couple seats change names officially (parents tickets to my name and my sisters). First of all we found that priority points will not pass from parents to kids which is total crap. I understand not being able to pass them to anyone you want, but it should be able to go to kids. All those years of points down the drain! And secondly we have a couple parking passes but due to a technicality they said we are no longer eligible for multiple passes (which btw we have had for the past 15 years). I called the department and talked to a manager and his complete inability to show any loyalty to a 25 year season ticket holder family was so maddening I almost didn't renew. This AD better pull their heads outta their asses. Treating your very few remaining loyal fans like **** ( IE- giving away seats to games that we pay hundreds for) and screwing us over at any turn is a reason there is little loyalty to this program. Bottom lined I renewed but the AD is about one more dumb ass move away from losing 8 season tickets on our end.

Next time I add tickets, they may be in kid skid's name.

The Buffs in Boulder on a Saturday afternoon >>>> The Broncos. I just as soon watch the Broncs on TV.

I am a Buffs fan and a Broncos fan. I have been to nearly all home games since the mid 90s and have had season tickets for nearly the last decade. I can't justify spending both weekend days going to football games especially when I have not seen a single CU home win in Folsom in nearly 3 years. The Broncos are putting a product on the field that shows they want to win. When was the last time CU did anything close to that? Then to force you into buying that game against CSU on top of it all? No thanks! I will take my chances trying to watch the games on DirectTV. Maybe the passion will come back at that point but I can't take being down by 30 at halftime anymore. As good as game days can be, they are anything but that the last few years.

Can't wait till the Buffs are good again though, if we are lucky, this new staff may have them winning around the time the Broncos are rebuilding in 2 more years.
