Service Academy football games likely to be cancelled if shutdown isn't resolved

DoD says games not gonna happen while shutdown. Not interested in bringing politics into this, just sucks for all schools involved.

It is sad to see those young men being screwed over by all the dumbasses in Congress. I hope they find a way to keep that game on schedule!

I wonder if we had waited a couple of days if we could have gotten a CU / Air Force game as a makeup game for both schools since they have a bye 10/19. Though I'd guess they'll just make the game up on 12/7.

United just tweeted that they are offering to fly the AFA team for free so that the AFA/Navy game can happen. I think BC is also offering travel assistance to Army, not sure if the schools will be able to take the offers though due to the political optics.
