Posted on Rivals. Someone at Bzdelik's function in Louisville last night confirmed that Coach made the injury public. Sharpe will have knee surgery tomorrow morning. Burks will move try to move to the point for us and back up Tomlinson. This is a big blow and a tough break for Sharpe.

huge blow...I was hoping he would take over the reigns at point. I personally like Thorne over Tomlinson, but whatever - I'm not the coach.

I'm really excited to see what Burks is able to do on the court though. This is an opportunity for him to shine - hope he takes control of the situation.

edit: here's my really dark thought, recent CU hoops history shows there's a good chance this kid never wears a Buff uni.

These reports always kill the swing of positive excitement I have before a season. Happened this summer when Kasa and Tuioti went down.

hopefully, with Thorne, Higgins, and an emerging Relphorde (is 11 and 8 too much to hope for?)....we'll have 3 legit D-1 scorers on the court at the same time. it's been a while.

Unbelievable. Seems CU hoops can never catch a break. I was really looking forward to watching Sharpe this season and seeing how his athleticism would help this team defensively and in transition.

I hope all goes well for him with the surgery and that he is able to make a full recovery and play for the Buffs in the future.
