Shedeur Sanders - 2023-25 Tracking History Thread

I'm sure that the Tits will take SS2, so there will be plenty of opportunities for NE to sell that pick.

That could be a good place to go since the Titans are building their new domed stadium and that would mean a minimum of 10-11 games in controlled climates for SS2.

The only thing that surprises me about this list is Carson Beck still being at #5

Huge drop off after the first 2, Dart is okay but Beck, Ewers, Milroe, Howard are all backups at best.

Nix was the 6th QB picked last year. This year the 6th QB picked may not deserve to make a team.

But, hot take here, somebody from the later rounds, maybe not picked at all, but well after that middle group will turn out to be a quality NFL starter.

Should Howard be higher? He was impressive v. Oregon.
I always hesitate on QBs who play on teams that have better talent across the board than their opponents. When they get to the NFL they don't get 6-7 seconds to throw and they don't have WRs who are open by 15 yards on pure talent.

CJ Stroud has been very good but other than him there have been a string of tOSU QBs who have looked great in college and struggled in the NFL.

Haven't seen much from Howard that says he is going to be able to dominate at the NFL level.

They're gonna take SS2 or Ward. The Browns will take the guy the Titans don't take. It'll be up to the Giants, Patriots, or Jags to take Hunter.

I still think about the dude who probably didn't know anything but claimed that the Mara family didn't want anything to do with the Sanders family. On the off chance that guy is not making that up, I would imagine that extends to Travis.

Majority of the early Mocks are putting Shedeur in Tennessee and how he fits great in Brian Callahan's system.
This is good news as there is a very very low chance of Prime being rumored as the Coach, except by all the morons like Whitlock.

I think the Browns would love to trade out of that pick. They would avoid paying the salary slot for the 2nd pick and add picks to get some more rookies on the roster. They need to completely reset and rebuild from this Watson debacle. Replace some vet contracts with rookie contracts while they deal with the Watson salary. Begin the rebuild so that when they can afford a real QB the roster is well stocked and there's also a ton of cap room.

The Panthers had to trade 2 1sts and 2 2nds in consecutive years to trade up from 9 to 1 to get Bryce Young fwiw.
And DJ Moore.

The Bears are trading the No. 1 pick in the 2023 draft to the Panthers in exchange for four draft picks and wide receiver DJ Moore, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Friday.

The Bears will receive Carolina's first-round selection at No. 9, a late-second-round pick (No. 61), a 2024 first-round selection and a 2025 second-round pick, according to Schefter.

That 2024 1st ended up being Caleb Williams at #1.

Yet, somehow the Bears still suck: but their HC vacancy has to be super attractive with the picks they have this year and a ton of cap space, and a decent group of skill players already around Williams.

I really hope Shedeur doesn't end up in a situation where a team traded up for him but hamstrung their ability to build around him, like Carolina and Young or the Bears did with Fields and Trubisky.

Y'all are crazy if you think Cleveland lets SS2 slip past them. The only way that happens is if Prime tells the Browns, "nope". Even then the stare down between Prime and Haslem will be epic.

Dudes on the radio are still banging the drum that LV is going to hire Prime and that Prime will be able to tell everybody picking above Vegas hands off. I really think people are overestimating Prime's ability to tell multiple owners that they can't draft a kid.

If Prime is hired as the coach, and then TAMPERS with draft order within the league to get Shedeur, he would no longer be the coach, or LV would be paying a massive fine. This all does not work unless Prime stays out of the NFL

As a Titans fan, I don't want Shedeur in Tennessee.

Not because I don't think he'll be good, but because the holes in the roster are so glaring, Id rather continue to build out the rest of the roster, so whoever gets out back there at QB will have a chance.

This is a big concern.

You have an organization that is already bad enough to have a high enough pick to make the trade interesting then they are going to give up their premium picks for the next couple years.

This all fits together to create additional losing years resulting in turnover of the coaching staff and changing systems. All around not the best situation for any young QB.

On Shedeur's podcast with Junior they are talking about if Bucky will move or get a place wherever SS2 gets drafted and Bucky says that he will keep his house in Colorado (1:40) because "He will be doing the Filming for Dad and the School", but would likely just get a studio apartment wherever SS2 is.

The way he phrased that by using the term "School" felt a lot like his Media work will also be coming In-House so that they can pay him even more money, which is a good thing.

If Prime is going to be the Godfather of Colorado Football and has all his tentacles organized, with a big fat new Contract is all good for me.
