Shout out to Matt Schick (CU Alum) for his Signing Day efforts

Lol, I get what he's saying about Prime being the MJ of football, but when it comes to being a mentor/coach/role model for the future generations of players they couldn't be more different.
They both have the cred that comes from doing their particular skill set better than anyone else ever did (didn't say they were the greatest but they did their particular thing better) and both can have a presence when dealing with the public that locks in peoples attention.

MJ though has never gotten past promoting MJ as his primary concern.

Prime is a master of using the attention he can generate but the more I see of him the more I understand that he at heart wants to make life better for others, for his players, for the students who go or would go to HBCUs, and really for everyone he can.

I think the MJ comment is the wow factor of the name alone. Deion Sanders makes you perk up, Lionel Messi makes you perk up. Cal Ripken is my all-time favorite ball player and he gets peoples attention and actually has and will continue to do great things for kids. What you do with your fame is what you deserve to get judged by, and MJ is still competing against the world instead of embracing it and making it better. Prime is making our world and the kids at CU an awesome place.

my point is Schick gave CU a lot of airtime on signing day and it was funny and fantastic

What is funny and sad is that we have guys like Fowler, Klatt, and Shick ready to talk about the Buffs, or to take pride in them during all this valuable airtime, and you could see them hesitant to say anything the past 15 years, minus 2016, because we just sucked so bad in every possible way. Now, they can spend invaluable time talking about us, which plays into the "we comin" and "something special is happening"
