Upon convening, the board will recess into executive session to discuss a personnel matter at CU-Boulder as permitted under Colorado Revised Statute
Subsection 24-6-402(3)(b)(I) and a property matter at CU Denver as permitted under
Colorado Revised Statute Subsection 24-6-402(3)(a)(I). There will be no public session
associated with the meeting and no formal action is anticipated.

speculate away

The 'cover' for this meeting earlier was to discuss Embree being let go...

They want to go through all the 'Thank You' emails from today

Would buying out Embree and EB's deals require an official stamp of approval from the Regents?
I believe it would require an "official stamp" and official meeting to do that official stamp. But the votes were already there before Bohn pulled the trigger.

Or compiling a list of the e-mails promising a donation to help cover the buyout and preparing the $10,000 invoices...

hope that is not true! I think the meeting is to approve an offer for the next coach.

That's what I'm thinking. That the Regents were polled by phone to get their approval prior to making the move, but need to meet tonight to actually put the decision on paper. At least that's one possibility...

no way we have a final agreement on the buyout already. That's gonna be negotiated.
Buyouts are in the contract. Without voting to fight the terms of the contract the regents are just being told how much it is going to cost.

They wouldn't have been able to vote on or finalize anything if all they did was hold an executive session. Pretty sure the state's sunshine laws require that any votes be held in open session. Discussion on an upcoming vote is another matter.
