SAN FRANCISCO – Colorado's soccer team had nine players earn Pac-12 All-Academic honors on Wednesday. Kelsey Aaknes, Courtney Fedor, Erin Greening, Sarah Kinzner, Megan Massey, Hannah Scheid, Jalen Tompkins, Alex Vidger and Scout Watson were all named to the Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
To qualify, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, have been enrolled full time at their current institution for two or more consecutive semesters, and have participated in 50 percent of their team's competitions.
CU's soccer team finished the 2016-17 school year with a 3.292 cumulative GPA after recording a 3.291 GPA during the Spring Semester and a 3.227 GPA during the Fall Semester. The team has had a GPA of 3.0 or better for 17 consecutive semesters entering this fall, including 10 in a row at 3.2 or better. Only CU's women's ski team has a longer streak of consecutive semesters (11) at 3.2 or higher.

Twelve more Buffs meet the minimum GPA for all-academic honors, but do not meet either the time enrolled at CU or the minimum playing time to qualify: Tatum Barton (3.57), Jorian Baucom (4.00), Hannah Cardenas (4.00), Isobel Dalton (3.15), Libby Geraghty (4.00), Jordan Goodwin (3.24), Katie Joella (4.00), Courtney Kaplan (3.13), Caitlin McPherson (4.00), Cassie Phillips (3.23), Becca Rasmussen (3.73) and Stephanie Zuniga (3.06).
Colorado finished the 2017 season 12-6-4 overall, including 5-4-2 in the Pac-12 Conference. The Buffs reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
